Summary

The Bulls are doing amzing and are one of the most elite teams in the NBA. Last year Derrick Rose was MVP of the league. Derrick Rose has been named an all star starter along with Luol Deng who is a reserve. The Bulls strongest point is their defense under their coach Tom Thibodeau who was Coach of the Year last year and this year. The Bulls own the best record in the NBA for the second year in a row winning 50 of 66 games. Adding to that, Derrick Rose missed almost 1/2 of the season and Rip Hamilton has missed 2/3 (both starters). The Bulls will vs. the 76ers in round 1 of the playoffs. The Bulls want to avoid match-ups with the Pacers, Thunder, and especially the Heat. Right now the Bulls are doing AMAZING with their "Bench Mob" (A.K.A. Reserve Players). They are the best team in the NBA without Derrick Rose. Derrick Rose needs to focus on "shaking off the rust" after missing 22 games in a row. He needs to do this before playoff time (April 28) so the Bulls can get used to playing with Derrick Rose during the playoffs which is essential if they want to win the Championship. Since Derrick Rose has a minor injury, Tom Thibodeau must balance play-time and safety for Derrick Rose, which will be difficult. So far Derrick Rose is not hurting and now just needs to find his rhythm. A good thing for us is that the 76ers have underrated the Bulls. Evan Turner of the 76ers says "we're dodging the harder team by being the 8th seed". In Game 1 against the 76ers, Derrick Rose was injured. When there was 1:22 left in the game, Derrick Rose jumped in the lane and tore his ACL. Rose hurt himself and is done for the rest of the year. Some of you are probably wondering why he was left in the game so late knowing he is injury prone. We don't even know if he will be back in time for next season based on other ACL injuries which is 6 to 9 months. Tom Thibodeau says "It's part of the game, you know, there's going to be injuries. A guy can get hurt in practice, he can get hurt in the first five minutes of the game, he can get hurt at the end of the game, he can get hurt anytime and you got to deal with it you know, that's part of this game. So, uh, he's had a lot of injuries this year, it's been unfortunate, um, but we do have more than enough to win with so, whatever the circumstances are, we'll deal with it." All of Rose's teammates, fans, Chicago, and the NBA were in shock as Rose went down. The Bull's title hopes have gone down the drain. Derrick Rose will need a minimum of 6 months to heal but 7 or 8 to be sure. The question everyone is asking is if Derrick Rose will ever be the same again.
