Groundhog's Day is celebrated every year on February 2. Although it may seem like a minor holiday and people tend to forget about Groundhog's Day, it is important because some people believe it predicts how many weeks will be left of winter. Every year a celebration is held with a groundhog that lives in Pennsylvania. In Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania everyone that attends must wait patiently until the groundhog tentativeley crawls out of it's burrow, at a distance that doesn't scare the groundhog. If the groundhog appears and sees his shadow it means that spring is coming early, but if the groundhog does not see it's shadow it means there will be 6 more weeks remaining of winter. Most people keep their fingers crossed on spring coming early, but it all depends on the weather.
